04 / Protect a little space
Make room for the thing in front of you.
Pause selected distracting apps for a set time. Start a Focus timer for the next task, or schedule a regular pause around your routine.

Some moments need a different boundary: a page to read, a conversation to be present for, or a task that deserves your attention. Deciding once can be easier than deciding at every temptation.
A Focus timer pauses the apps you select for a chosen duration. Scheduled pauses provide the same kind of space at recurring times, such as dinner or winding down.
How it works
A little structure. Your way.
Choose the apps to pause
Select the apps that tend to interrupt this particular moment. Leave the tools you need for the task available.
Choose a duration and start
Set how much space you want to protect, then start the timer. The Focus screen shows the remaining time.
Repeat what works for you
For a regular part of your day, create a scheduled pause. For an occasional task, start a timer when you need it.
One small commitment
25 minutes for the first page.
Pause the apps that usually pull you away, start a 25-minute timer, and begin. You choose the task and the duration; NudgeAway supplies a boundary around the apps you selected.
Privacy
Your screen time stays yours.
On your device. No NudgeAway account. No ad tracking.
A few practical answers
Is this the same as Apple Focus or Do Not Disturb?
No. NudgeAway’s timer applies a pause to the apps you select. Apple’s Focus settings manage which people and apps can notify you. They can serve different parts of the same routine.
Can I pause only certain apps?
Yes. You choose the apps for the session, so useful tools can remain available. Screen Time authorization is required to apply these pauses.
Can I schedule a regular pause?
Yes. Scheduled pauses let you set recurring periods. A timer is useful for a session you start now; a schedule is useful for a repeating routine.
Start with one small change.
Choose an app, an intention, and the level of support that feels right.
